The Kawasaki Balius 250 motorcycle is not widely known in Russia. Officially he’s in our region were never delivered, and the few instances that Coolsat according to our
roads, got here in used form thanks to motorcycle dealerships that sell used motorcycles. This light bike definitely deserves attention, because the Balius 250,
despite the fact that it was developed back in the 80’s, it is quite capable of «showing class» by the standards of its modest cubature, and it is not unreasonable to argue with such more
modern rivals like the Honda Hornet 250.
Balius owes its speed to its sporting roots β when developing it got the engine from the Kawasaki zxr 250 sportbike, however, deforced and with changed settings.
This, however, does not prevent the engine from turning up to 18 thousand revolutions and giving out very solid characteristics for 250 cubic meters of volume β 40 forces and 23.5 nm of torque. Produced
this motorcycle is from 1989 to 2008. In 1996, the Kawasaki Balius 250 was slightly upgraded β minor changes were made to the suspension, electrics and appearance, but the differences between
two generations of this motorcycle is still a minimum.
The dry weight of the motorcycle is only about 150 kilograms. Thanks to its lightness, revving engine and 6-speed transmission, Balius is able to develop a record
for «chekushki» speed-170 kilometers per hour. From 0 to 100 km / h, it accelerates in six seconds, however, after about 120 km/h, its fervor quickly runs out, but from low-capacity
it would be unfair to demand more of a city motorcycle, even if it has sporting roots.
