Мотоциклы серии Honda CX, были разработаны и выпущены в конце 1970-х годов, причем производство закончилось на большинстве рынков к середине 1980-х годов.Эта

Сама конструкция мотоциклов включала инновационные по тем временам технологии,которые не встречались у других производителей мотоциклов,такие как жидкостное
охлаждение ,сдвоенные карбюраторы с одним ускорительным насосом,который работает на оба карба,электронное зажигание и многое другое.
Honda CX500 и ее модификации были первыми в компании Honda, оснащаемыми V-Twin-нами с продольным расположением коленвала. Но, в отличие от итальянских Moto Guzzi
угол развала цилиндров у Хонды составляет 80°. При этом головки цилиндров расположены не вдоль оси коленвала.Их угол разворота равен 22° (впускным окном в

Цилиндры V-Twin отлиты прямо в картере что усложняет процесс капитального ремонта, хотя существует много примеров по отзывам владельцев,в которых двигатели прошли
более 200 000 км без какого-либо серьезного ремонта движка.Коленчатый вал расположен выше коробки передач и находится с ней в одном картере, что дало возможность

The Honda CX500 and its modifications were the first in the Honda company to be equipped with a V-Twin engine with a longitudinal crankshaft arrangement. But, unlike the Italian Moto Guzzi
, the cylinder camber angle of the Honda is 80°. In this case, the cylinder heads are not located along the axis of the crankshaft.Their angle of rotation is 22° (with the intake window in the
side of the frame). With this technique, the designers avoided contact of the carburetors with the pilots ‘ knees.The four-stroke engine with a volume of 497 cc produced 50 hp of power
and 46 nm of torque ,the turbo version has much more impressive indicators than 82 hp and 79 nm of torque.
