Новую технологию для создания оптического волокна разработали в санкт-петербургском оптическом институте имени Вавилова. Волокно может изгибаться и даже закручиваться узлом. При этом, передаваемое изображение совершенно не искажается. Из этого оптического волокна создают медицинские и технические эндоскопы.
New technology of optical fiber creation was developed in Vavilovs Optical Institute in Saint-Petersburg. The fiber can be bent and twisted and even tied in knots and the transmitted image will still not be distorted. Medical and technical endoscopes are created with this optical fiber.
